November in Cyprus is not as rich in festivals as the other months. Nevertheless, fans of sports competitions, lovers of cultural events and fans of traditional festivals will certainly find something to visit.
Cyprus holidays in November
There are no official public holidays in Cyprus in November. However, there are quite a lot of sport events. For example, a half marathon takes place in Paphos – the “Cyprus Aphrodite Half Marathon”. At the end of November and also in the district of Paphos, the “Cyprus International 4-day Challenge” race takes place, which includes a route which runs through the unique nature reserve in Akamas, with panoramic sea views.
In November there is also the «Larnaca Amateurs Artistic Creation» art festival, where local folklore and ethnographic ensembles perform, which takes place in Larnaca.
Cyprus festivals in November
One of the most interesting festivals in November is the zivania festival held in the mountain villages.
Traditionally, the zivania festival is held in the Alona and Pelendri villages. Guests of the festival have the opportunity to become acquainted with the production process of the famous Cyprus beverage, participate in contests and competitions, and buy traditional products of the village. During the festival, all local attractions are open to visitors.
